HYBRID VERSION - Christine Daae Inspired Victorian Silk Dressing Gown - MADE TO ORDER to Your Size
Silk jacquard is the base for this charming, lightweight dressing gown that is trimmed in beautiful devore silk satin ruffles. I offer a few different styles and prices for this item so be sure to check out the other dressing gown listings! Please view the photos to understand what each version offers in terms of detailing and trimmings.
HYBRID VERSION This dressing gown is based on the Broadway version with certain European detailing. This includes using a different pattern of silk in the bodice and skirt, as well as a more detailed belt, if desired...
You can choose:
1. Whether the garment is made in the same silk, or if you want a different pattern in the top and bottom.
2. Which silk pattern you'd like.
3. Beaded UK style belt, or Broadway (plainer) belt.
4. Other customizations can be added for a fee.
If you don't choose, I will choose these details for you and make it just as awesome!
Please read over this entire listing. Custom orders are not cancelled once placed, under any circumstances.
IMPORTANT NOTE WHEN SELECTING SHIPPING
You MUST select "Dressing Gown Shipping" when checking out. This calculates the proper handling and insurance fees for a garment of this price. If this is not selected I will need to send an additional invoice with an additional transaction fee to cover shipping costs. There are two options, Dressing Gown Shipping ONLY, USPS + Insurance -or- Dressing Gown Shipping ONLY, UPS + Declared Value.
This item takes 1 to 4 months to produce based on my current work load. If it is needed sooner and there's an opportunity to squeeze it into my schedule, I may be able to make it faster for a rush fee - but please contact beforehand.
Costume will be made to your specifications. When you place an order, I will contact you for additional measurements.
Absolutely no cancellations or returns on this item due to the highly specific nature of creating it for your unique body. If you are unhappy for any reason or need an adjustment, I'll always be happy to correct the situation :)
I happily make garments in plus sizes if you need! There may be an additional charge for materials & labor associated with larger sizes. Please make sure to select the correct option when ordering and I'll get your custom measurements after the order is placed.
*Please read the sizing chart carefully -- if your measurements don't correspond correctly the pricing may be different.*
Each costume is a personally unique item. It will highly resemble what is shown in the photos. There may be MINOR substitutions - for example, the narrow lace edging on the ruffles might be different. If I find a higher quality, or more accurate version of something, at a lower cost, I will use that - so you have the best possible product. The only minor things that COULD vary in the dressing gown are the narrow lace trim, the lace underneath the sleeve engageantes, and (in the premium version) the ruffle lace used above the engageantes. As I said, sometimes I come across an incredible deal on eBay or a sale at a store, so I will use the best possible option if that happens. Bottom line: you may get more bang for your buck :)
As this is a fully silk garment, please understand that it is a more delicate item than a polyester costume. However it's the exact fabrics used in the stage show and stands up to being on stage as well. I'm available for minor repairs or fixes if needed. I always suggest that you USE the garment - don't be afraid to have fun in it!
WHAT GOES INTO PRICING
These costumes are well-made, hand-sewn detailed pieces that will last for many years. This is not a cheap costume made in a foreign country, it is an investment that you will get use out of for years :) Many, many hours of labor go into making each costume and materials are selected carefully. (My dressing gowns can take anywhere from 25 to 50 hours of labor alone!) Breaking the cost down over the years you can get out of the costume makes it very affordable, in fact. And, they are made exactly to your specifications.
